Franklin High School Band Director David Aydelott is the recipient of a special honor. School Band and Orchestra magazine recently chose him to represent Tennessee as one of the 50 directors who are making a difference.
"This recognition means a great deal to me because I know how many fine music educators there are in our county, not to mention the rest of our State," said Aydelott. "I also have to thank our students, parents and staff because it’s the great performances by our students that have brought the Franklin band recognition."
Aydelott has taught at Franklin High School for four years. The band received several honors this year which include being named Reserve Grand Champion at the 49th Annual Contest of Champions and placing second overall at the Music City Invitational.
The article naming Aydelott as one of the 50 directors who make a difference appeared in the December issue of School Band and Orchestra magazine and can be currently viewed ONLINE.
