Brentwood High Renovations

Published August 19, 2010

Students at Brentwood High School are enjoying their new digs following the completion of a $647,000 renovation project.  Work on the project - which included improvements to restrooms, student lockers and the gymnasium - began in May and finished up earlier this month.

It's all part of an ongoing plan to renovate Brentwood High School, which was built in 1982.  The first phase took place last summer when crews added new science and lab classrooms to the building.

Phase II began in May with the renovation of each restroom in the school.  In addition to painting each restroom, crews installed new ceramic tile floors, plumbing fixtures and toilet accessories.

The Brentwood High School gymnasium also received a facelift as crews installed new bleachers, painted the walls and installed new high energy efficient light fixtures.  Other work includes the painting of the cafeteria walls, the restoration of the Campbell Center's movable seating and the installation of new student lockers and drinking fountains throughout the school.

Phase III is scheduled to begin next summer and will include the renovation of the front office and the replacement of all courtyard windows and doors.
