Before & After School Care
Published August 4, 2010
Williamson County Schools will offer before and after school care for students at each of the district's elementary schools during the 2010-2011 school year.
The YMCA Fun Company will provide child care service at Bethesda, Chapman’s Retreat, Edmondson, Fairview, Grassland, Hillsboro, Hunters Bend, Lipscomb, Nolensville, Pearre Creek, Scales, Sunset, Walnut Grove and Winstead elementary schools.
Each YMCA Fun Company school site is designed to provide a welcoming atmosphere where students discover the joy of learning, pursue their creative passions and develop strong character values. Additional information as well as registration forms can be found online at the YMCA Fun Company's website.
Meanwhile, the Williamson County Schools SACC (School Aged Child Care) program is expanding for the 2010-2011 school year. Allendale and Westwood elementary schools will join College Grove, Crockett, Heritage, Kenrose, Longview, Oak View, Pinewood and Trinity in offering before and after school care services for children.
The SACC program has been part of Williamson County Schools for over 15 years and is a year-round program planned and conducted by staff trained to be positive role models for the children. The programming offered each year is adjusted to address the interests of the children enrolled in the program.
There are many enrollment options available from full time before and after school care to drop in. Drop in helps parents who may need occasional SACC services. The hours for SACC drop in are 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. SACC is open most administrative days, holidays and snow days. SACC is open the first full day of school to students in first through fifth grades and to kindergarten students on the first full day of kindergarten classes.
Registration forms and additional information can be found ONLINE or by calling (615) 472-4719.
