HOT SHOTS JUMP ROPE TEAM

The Hot Shots Jump Rope Team participated in the USA Regional Jump Rope Tournament April 16 in Bowling Green, Ky.  Sixteen jumpers qualified in nine different events to compete June 25-28 in Galveston, Texas.  The team consists of third through ninth graders from Hunters Bend Elementary, Grassland Middle and Franklin High.

 

SPRING STATION MIDDLE

ROTARY SCHOLARSHIPS WINNERS

The Rotary Club of Cool Springs presented the Arlene Peterson Memorial Scholarship to three Williamson County high school seniors who have been active in Career and Technical Education programs.

 

This year's recipients were Ravenwood  High School's Allie Arnette (Health Science), Page High School's Veronica Soria (Consumer Science) and Fairview High School's Nathan Green (Agriculture).  Each student will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the college of their choice.



PAGE MIDDLE SCHOOL

Claire Hamblen:  Winner of the Publix Design a Bag Contest for Earth Day.



RAVENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

Allie Arnette:  Won the Doug Hall Relays Scholarship, an award based on her track performances, academics and community service.

Cameron Brown:  Set a meet record in the hammer throw while competing at the University of Tennessee Volunteer Outdoor Track and Field Classic.  His mark of 177’ 10” puts him in the top 10 in the nation for this event.

Logan Horton:  Named as a member of the prestigious Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corp.
