GRASSLAND ELEMENTARY | |
Adrian Reyna |
Kind-hearted and willing to help others. That's how teachers at Grassland Elementary School describe 11 year old Adrian Reyna. Combine those qualities with a tremendous work ethic and it's no surprise Adrian was chosen as Grassland's Academic All-Star. |
Adrian moved with his family from Mexico to Middle Tennessee in 2002 and says the things he enjoys most about Grassland Elementary School are his teachers and his friends. His favorite subject is math, and when he grows up, Adrian has dreams of becoming a professional baseball player. |
HERITAGE ELEMENTARY | |
Harold Arana |
By all accounts, Heritage Elementary School fifth grader Harold Arana is one of the hardest working kids at school. Administrators say Harold is always willing to put forth the effort when it comes to his studies, which is why he was selected as the school's Academic All-Star. "Harold is a student who has consistently made progress," said Heritage Assistant Principal Dr. Anthony Johnson. "He continues to apply himself in everything he does and he gets the job done." |
Harold says his love for football has motivated him in the classroom. "I want to play football for Heritage Middle School next year," said Harold. "But my mom says I have to make good grades if I want to be on the team." Harold says his favorite subject is social studies because he enjoys learning about American history. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys playing football and basketball with his friends. |
HUNTERS BEND ELEMENTARY | |
Cameron Bradley |
Cameron Bradley has been named Hunters Bend Elementary School's Academic All-Star for the 2010-11 school year. Cameron was chosen for this honor because of her generous spirit and her dedication to her schoolwork. |
Cameron has attended Hunters Bend since kindergarten, and while she's looking forward to middle school, Cameron says there are certain things she'll miss about Hunters Bend. "The thing I like most about Hunters Bend is everybody's personality," said Cameron. "I have a lot of friends here and the teachers are really nice." When she's not at school, Cameron loves to draw and says she might even want to be an art teacher when she grows up. |
