The Williamson County Board of Education is scheduled to establish transportation zone lines for two new elementary schools and one middle school that will open next year. In addition, the Board will be naming the three schools at its meeting Monday, November 16. One elementary school is located in the west Franklin area with the other elementary school and the middle school in the southern part of the county. Information sessions regarding proposed zone lines for the schools were held earlier this week.
On Tuesday morning, results of the meeting will be posted on the district’s website, www.wcs.edu. Select School Board and Across the Board for highlights of the meeting and a link to the adopted zone lines.
Information sessions for two other groups that could be affected by rezoning will be held next week. A come-and-go information session for Bethesda Elementary students who are currently zoned to Page Middle and Page High will be held Tuesday evening at Bethesda Elementary. A session for Ravenwood students proposed to be rezoned will be held Thursday night in the Ravenwood cafeteria. Both sessions will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Maps will be available to review, and parents will have the opportunity to talk with staff and Board members. Maps and information are available on the district’s website at www.wcs.edu. Select Zoning/Enrollment.
