WCS Students Help with Flood Relief

Hundreds of Williamson County students and staff members are pitching in to help out the victims of this month's floods. From bake sales to food drives, they're doing everything they can to support our community and help those in need. |

Here are just a few of the ways Williamson County students and staff are making a difference in their community: |
SCHOOL | HOW THEY'RE HELPING |
Centennial High |
The CHS football team has gone out in different groups to help several families affected by the flood. They moved out furniture and appliances, removed carpet, tore out dry wall, shoveled up mud and helped in any way they were asked. |
Hunters Bend Elementary | Members of the Hot Shots Jumprope Team had a bake sale to benefit flood victims in the Fieldstone Farms subdivision. In five hours they collected $2,900. The money will be placed in an account at Publix and distributed to families in need. |
Oak View Elementary |
Students brought in a large amount food to be delivered to flood victims through relief agencies. |
Page High |
Members of the JROTC assisted flood victims in Franklin last weekend. Many of them plan to help clean up Pinkerton Park this Saturday. |
Page Middle |
A group of teachers and administrators recently volunteered their time to help load boxes of food for flood victims at the Second Harvest Food Bank. |
Walnut Grove Elementary | The Make A Difference Club used proceeds from a recent outing to purchase gift cards for families affected by the floods. In addition, a number of classes are gathering gift cards for flood victims. |
