WCS Signature Salads

Published April 15, 2010

Williamson County students have a healthy new option when deciding what to eat for lunch.

Cafeterias across the district unveiled the district's new Signature Salads April 15. They consist of an Asian Chicken Salad, a Southwest Chicken Salad and a Chicken Caesar Salad.

The salads are available to students at all 37 schools and are part of the normal school lunch, which means they do not cost extra. Officials say it's all part of an ongoing effort to provide our students with a fun and nutritious meal.

"We're always looking for ways to offer more exciting and healthy items," said Food Service Director James Remete. "We think the students are really going to enjoy the new salads."
