Page Middle Principal Announced

Published July 22, 2010

Page High Assistant Principal Dr. Eric Lifsey will be moving across the road to lead Page Middle next year.

“Eric is an excellent communicator who can easily build relationships between parents, students and staff,” said Williamson County Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney. “Another advantage for Eric is that he already knows so many of the Page families, so the transition should be seamless.”

Lifsey has worked in Williamson County Schools for the past 17 years. He began as a substitute teacher while still in college.

In 1996 he taught math at Woodland Middle for just a few weeks before being moved to Centennial High where a math teacher was needed due to increased enrollment. Lifsey taught at Centennial for six years and became an assistant principal there in 2001. For the past two years, he has served as assistant principal at Page High.

Lifsey said working at Page High will help him help students bridge the gap between middle and high school. He is taking over for Josie Jacobs who left Page Middle to lead Sunset Elementary.

“I look forward to building on the traditions that Ms. Jacobs began and the successes students and staff have enjoyed. I have enjoyed working in the Page community, and I’m excited to continue as the principal of Page Middle,” said Lifsey. “I hope that families and staff who are traveling Arno Road will stop in and introduce themselves so we can get to know each other better.”

He holds a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Middle Tennessee State University; a Master’s in Education from Tennessee State University; and a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.
