Late Start Days Return
Published July 30, 2009
In a move that is sure to please some high school students, the Williamson County School Board recently approved a measure to continue Late Start Days at high schools during the 2009-2010 school year. Late Start Days allow teachers an opportunity to work together several times a year to develop strategies for instructing students. On these days, students come to school about 30 minutes after the normal start time.
Although classes begin a half hour later on these days, busses will continue to run at their regular times. Students arriving to school early will have the benefit of choosing from several supervised activities. Below is a list of Late Start Days according to the participating schools.
