Franklin High Hosts Alumni Event

Published October 29, 2009

Former Franklin High School football players, cheerleaders and band members are invited to an alumni event October 30 as part of a yearlong celebration in honor of the school's 100 year anniversary. The high school officially opened in 1910 at its original location, off Columbia Avenue. It later moved to its current location on Hillsboro Road after a fire in 1958.

School officials kicked off the centenarian celebration during Homecoming week with a parade and reception. Called the Power of Tradition, the football alumni event is a continuation of the festivities.

All former football players, cheerleaders, flag guards and band members are invited to the event which will take place before Friday's football game against Brentwood. It will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the parking lot in front of the football field house. Coordinators ask that alumni wear their letterman jackets.
