Williamson County Schools recently finished in the Top 50 in netTrekker's Safe Search Awards. The program recognizes outstanding districts that keep kids safe when searching on the Internet.

According to the rankings, Williamson County Schools is listed 44th among districts nationwide. Much of the district's success has to do with its use of netTrekker, an educational search engine.

"The use of netTrekker provides students with safe digital resources and tools that help them achieve," says WCS Instructional Technology Coordinator Belinda Moss.

"Each of these K-12 resources has been reviewed for academic integrity, age appropriateness and safety through personalized learning tools to match individual learning needs."
