Construction Update-4577

Construction crews are working on several projects across the district.  Two new elementary schools and a middle school are set to open in August, 2010.  The district also plans to open a high school in 2011.  Below you will find information on the current status of the four schools.

 Allendale Elementary:
  • Brick veneer is complete
  • All casework is complete
  • Gymnasium floor installation in progress
  • Sidewalk is 70% complete
  • Playground equipment is 20% complete
  • Scheduled to open in August, 2010

 Spring Station Middle:
  • 95% of interior punch list complete
  • Fire alarms tested with city and state
  • Fencing completed on baseball field
  • Sodding in progress around building
  • Planting, seeding and paving in progress
  • Scheduled to open in August, 2010

 Summit High:
  • Foundation block complete
  • Geothermal laterals complete
  • Site grading underway at parking lots
  • Load bearing masonry in progress
  • Structural steel in progress at entrance
  • Scheduled to open in 2011

 Pearre Creek Elementary:
  • Sidewalks 60% complete
  • Masonry complete
  • Casework in progress
  • Gymnasium bleachers complete
  • Geothermal complete
  • Scheduled to open in August, 2010
