Budget Timeline

In the weeks and months ahead, district and county leaders will work toward approving a budget for the 2010-2011 school year.  As the budget process moves forward, IN FOCUS will continue to bring you the latest news, facts and dates to help the Williamson County community better understand the budget.

Below is a timeline of events regarding the budget process, which will culminate July 12 with the approval of a county budget:

  • March 29 - School Board Budget Work Session

  • March 29 - School Board special called meeting to adopt budget

  • April 1 - District submits budget to Williamson County Mayor

  • April-May - Education and Budget Committees meet

  • June 8 - Public hearing on county budget

  • July 12 - County Commission approves county budget
