BRENTWOOD HIGH

Keegan Patrick:  Reached the finals at the International DECA Competition and received Top 10 honors. (photo below)

CENTENNIAL HIGH

Whitney Blair:  Received third place at the State Career and Development Conference and had her photo layout published in the national magazine Justine.
Blanca Burelos:  Won an Honorable Mention at the SMART MTSU Awards for her video called Latino Achievers
Rosie Colman:  Selected as the Clare Theus Scholarship winner at the 2010 JTG State Conference.
Angela Conners:  Finished second in the Photography category at the Skills USA State competition.
Christopher Daffron:  Finished second in the Technical Drafting category at the Skills USA State competition.
Grant Godel:  Recipient of the Rotary Club of Cool Springs Arlene Peterson Memorial Scholarship.
Morgan Gregory:  Finished second in the TV Video category at the Skills USA State competition.
Colln Henry:  Recipient of the JROTC Superior Senior Cadet Award.
Trevor Hyssong:  Recipient of the Rotary Club of Cool Springs Arlene Peterson Memorial Scholarship. 
Megan Jevin:  Recipient of a $500 CHS Senior Choral Scholarship.
Eric Jones:  Finished second in the Community Service category at the Skills USA State competition.
Joseph Kubalak:  Won first place on the Related Technical Math test at the Skills USA State competition.
Brennan Langenbach:  Selected to attend the Hampshire College Summer Studies in Mathematics program.  This six-week math program selects 40 of the best high school math students in the nation.
Christian Montesinos:  Recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution ROTC Medal.
Savannah McIntyre:  Recipient of a $500 CHS Senior Choral Scholarship.
David Osburn:  Won second place at the SMART MTSU Awards for his music video called Say and second place in the Community Service category at the Skills USA State competition.
Chloe Poole:  Recipient of a $500 CHS Senior Choral Scholarship.
Griffin Russell:  Finished second in the Community Service category at the Skills USA State competition.
Paul Ruyle:  Recipient of the Army Recruiting Command JROTC Award.
Anna Shelton:  Won an Honorable Mention at the SMART MTSU Awards for her video called Latino Achievers.
Marc Torrence:  Finished second in the TV Video category at the Skills USA State competition.
Jay Voorhies:  Recipient of a $500 CHS Senior Choral Scholarship.

CROCKETT ELEMENTARY

Adriana Kurowski:  Won first place among fifth graders in the Williamson County Family Resource Center's annual writing contest.

FAIRVIEW HIGH

Taylor Blunt:  Won first place among tenth graders in the Williamson County Family Resource Center's annual writing contest.
Amber Hoppe:  Won first place among ninth graders in the Williamson County Family Resource Center's annual writing contest.
Erin Potter:  Won first place among eleventh graders in the Williamson County Family Resource Center's annual writing contest.

FRANKLIN HIGH

Kendahl Davis:  Won first place among twelfth graders in the Williamson County Family Resource Center's annual writing contest.

INDEPENDENCE HIGH

IHS Rifle Team:  Won the WCS County Championship for the fifth year in a row.  Out of 17 possible awards, IHS won 14.
Mike Ellis:  Placed first in two positions and second in the third position at the WCS County Rifle Championship.  Ellis was named the number one shooter in the county.
Dylan Hunt:  Placed third in two positions at the WCS County Rifle Championship.
Drake Sparks:  Place second in one position and third in another position at the WCS County Rifle Championship.  Hunt was named the second shooter in the county.
David Walls:  Won a first place award at the Western Kentucky Film Festival for his highlight film of the IHS basketball team.

LIPSCOMB ELEMENTARY

Sunni Luo:  Won first place among fourth graders in the Williamson County Family Resource Center's annual writing contest.

Frances Ding:  Won first place in Algebra II at the Tennessee Math Teachers Association state-wide mathematics contest.

WINSTEAD ELEMENTARY

  Joseph Nelson:  Won first place among kindergarteners in the Williamson County Family Resource Center's annual writing contest.  His essay was about his family's vacation to Holiday World.  Joseph was recognized May 1 during a luncheon and received a trophy and certificate.

 

WOODLAND MIDDLE

WMS Band:  Won second place at a recent competition in Chicago.
WMS Chorus:  Won numerous awards at a recent competition in Chicago.  The chorus received the highest combined points total of any group in the competition.
Jessie Boone:  Finished ninth at the Middle School Math Contest at MTSU.
Ben Chen:  Finished third in his grade at the Middle School Math Contest at MTSU.
Tony Ding:  Won first place in his grade at the Middle School Math Contest at MTSU.
Eliot Forster-Benson:  Finished nineteenth at the Middle School Math Contest at MTSU.
Deaton Hildabrand:  Received the award for Outstanding Statesperson at the Youth Legislature.
Timmy Jiang:  Finished second in his grade at the Middle School Math Contest at MTSU.
