Abby Vorhaus:  Placed first in the National Geographic Bee school level competition.
 

CENTENNIAL HIGH

Emily Kink:  Nominated to the 2009 All State Soccer team.

Eric Jones, James Bradford, LaChrissa Jordan & Michael Bouchillon:  Won the State video competition for the TN Recycling Coalition.  The PSA they created for the competition is called "Recycle CHS".
 

FRANKLIN HIGH

Chelsea Howell:  Selected to participate in the Mid State Choir.

Dylan Jones:  Selected to participate in the Mid State Choir.

FHS Varsity Cheerleaders:  Won first place at the 2009 TSSAA State Cheerleading Championship.

Hallie Pascalle:  Selected to participate in the Mid State Choir.

John Boyd:  Selected to participate in the All State Choir.

Kari Henderson:  Selected to participate in the Mid State Choir.

Mitch McCloy:  Selected to participate in the Mid State Choir.

Sarah Brodeur:  Selected to participate in the All State Choir.

Collin Saulters:  Placed first in the National Geographic Bee school level competition.

Alicia Whitehouse:  Won the award for Most Outstanding Speaker in the Senate at the Rossview Forensics Congress.

Amanda McCracken:  Received the Silver Key Awards for Photography at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards.

Ann Bomar:  Received the Gold Key Award for Photography Portfolio at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards and the Gold Key Award for Photography.

Beaux Maddox:  Received the Silver Key Awards for Photography at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards.

Halle Jones:  Received the Silver Key award for Design at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards.

Joachim DeBock:  Received the Silver Key Award for Photography Portfolio at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards and the Gold Key Award for Digital Art.

Joanne Choi:  Won the Brentwood Woman's Club annual poetry contest with a poem she wrote titled Eden.

Kylie Slayden: Received the Silver Key Award for Design at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards.

Matthew McDowell: Received the Gold Key Award for Design at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards and the Gold Key Award for Photography.

Miranda Pope: Received the Silver Key Award for Photography Portfolio at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards and the Gold Key Award for Photography.

Natasha Odds: Received the Silver Key Awards for Photography at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards.

Noah Flach:  Received the Silver Key Award for Design at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards.

Robbie Billings:  Named an American Vision nominee at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards and received the Gold Key Award for Photography.

Stephanie Pringle: Received the Silver Key award for Digital Art at the 2010 Scholastic Art Awards.


SCALES ELEMENTARY

Andrew Brown:  Advanced to the district's annual spelling bee.

Brennen Williams:  Won first place in the National Geographic Bee school level competition.

Huzyfa Fazili:  Advanced to the district's annual spelling bee.


SUNSET ELEMENTARY

Jerry Lu:  Placed first in the National Geographic Bee school level competition.
 

SUNSET MIDDLE

Danielle Maeng:  Selected to participate in the elite Mid State Honor Band which will perform January 30 at MTSU.

Jennifer Crook:  Selected to participate in the elite Mid State Honor Band which will perform January 30 at MTSU.

Jenny Tolman:  Selected to participate in the elite Mid State Honor Band which will perform January 30 at MTSU.

Lara Scott:  Selected to participate in the elite Mid State Honor Band which will perform January 30 at MTSU.

Trevor Phillips:  Selected to the Mid State Honor Orchestra as the principal string bassist.
 

WOODLAND MIDDLE

Abby Jeter:  Finished fifth in the Prose Interpretation competition at the Western Kentucky University Hilltopper Classic.

Akane Watanabe:  Selected as an alternate to the Mid State Jazz Band.

Andy Gordon:  Won first place in the Storytelling competition at the Western Kentucky University Hilltopper Classic.

Ben Chen:  Finished second in the individual competition at the Nashville Interscholastic Mathematic League.

Daniel Trow:  Tied for eighth place in the individual competition at the Nashville Interscholastic Mathematic League.

Ellie Marquardt:  Finished second in the Storytelling competition at the Western Kentucky University Hilltopper Classic.

Joseph Downey:  Placed first in the National Geographic Bee school level competition.

Karen Yang:  Won first place in the individual competition at the Nashville Interscholastic Mathematic League.

Melissa Danly:  Won first place in the Interpretation of Literature competition at the Western Kentucky University Hilltopper Classic.

Timmy Jiang:  Tied for eighth place in the individual competition at the Nashville Interscholastic Mathematic League.

Valeriya Karnaukh:  Performed in The Nutcracker with the Nashville Ballet at TPAC.


EDUCATORS

Barbara Rogers, Franklin High:  Awarded the Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Award by the FHS Parent Association.
