STUDENTS

Allison Blanchard, Centennial High: Chosen for the Mid-State Mixed Choir and as an alternate for the All State SSA Choir.

Christian Lloyd, Centennial High: Selected for the Freshmen Honors Choir.

Tayla Lammers, Centennial High: Chosen for the Mid-State Mixed Honors Choir.

Merche Moore, Centennial High: Selected by the Jobs for America's Graduates National Board to sing the national anthem at the group's annual leadership conference.

Vanessa Parker, Centennial High: Semifinalist for the National Achievement Program, which is run by National Merit and is specifically for African American students.

Victoria Longorino, Centennial High: Selected for the Freshmen Honors Choir.

Kenrose Elementary: The following students were recently recognized for modeling the character trait "respect" in their daily lives at school:

  • Kindergarten: Kylie Diffie, Yoonmi Hwang, Aubrey Lowe, Alice Yang, Abby Werner and Prady Martin

Westwood Elementary: The following students were recently recognized for modeling the character trait "respect" in their daily lives at school:

  • Kindergarten: Jazmine Gonzalez, Alex Estes, Ella Ryerson and Annike Slot.

  • First Grade: Elizabeth Schubert, Marisa Jackson, Kelcie Peterson and Luke Mryncza.

  • Second Grade: Spencer Jones, Ryan Stannard and Taylor Carroll.

  • Third Grade: Casey Sullivan, Caleb Fuller, McKae Dickinson and Chance Deal.

  • Fourth Grade: Conner Collins, Nicholas Creech, Savannah Skelton and Logan Gammons.

  • Fifth Grade: Seth Wagner, Nick Hester and Keaton Vardon.

EDUCATORS

Cara Reske, Longview Elementary: Chosen by WKRN News 2 as their Middle Tennessee Educator of the Week.  Reske teaches Early Childhood at Longview.

Ralph Ringstaff, WCS Athletic Specialist: Selected as an A.F. Bridges Award winner for System Administrator of the Year.  The award is given for displaying the high ideals of integrity and ethics and for the examples of citizenship and sportsmanship.
