Emily Dunay, Franklin High: Chosen to be part of Vanderbilt's Curb Youth Symphony, the premier pre-college orchestra in Middle Tennessee.
Sarah Heacock, Franklin High: Received third place in the Tennessee Foreign Language Teaching Association's poster contest. Her design will be published on note cards and featured at the November TFLTA conference.

John Smith, ALC Social Sciences Teacher: Wrote a mystery novel titled The Assassination Arrow which was published by Dog Ear Publishing, LLC.
Lois Coles, Brentwood Middle Math Teacher: Won a $5,000 Math Heroes Award sponsored by the Raytheon Company. The money will be used to purchase technology for her classroom.
Lindsey McEwen, Franklin High Spanish Teacher: Received the Dale Seviers Fund for the Future Award from the Tennessee Foreign Language Teaching Association. This award includes a scholarship to attend this year's TFLTA conference.
