WCS Community Input Sessions
Published September 11, 2008
Parents and community members are invited to attend a community input session regarding the services the school district provides students with disabilities. Sessions will be held across the county, and participants are asked to attend the session at their zoned high school. All sessions will take place from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the high school library (see dates and locations below). After a brief meeting in the library, participants will be divided into small groups and will work with a facilitator to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of, and opportunities and threats for, serving students with disabilities in our school district. The information from the small groups will then be compiled and shared with the School Board at its November meeting.
"We are asking that those who want to participate take a moment to go online and let us know," said Director of Schools Dr. Rebecca Sharber. "This will help us have enough facilitators at the site and ensure that all participants have the opportunity for input."
If you have any questions, please contact Student Support Services at 472-4130. To RSVP for your zoned high school session, go to http://www.wcs.edu/forum.asp.
