Learning About Dyslexia
Published Janaury 15, 2009
Dyslexia. It is one of the most common learning disabilities in children. It affects how students learn to spell and read. But it is a condition that can be treated. With help, children can learn to overcome dyslexia and excel in the classroom.
If you or someone you know would like to learn more about dyslexia, there will be an informational meeting January 28 at Trinity Elementary School. Leslie Winter is a member of the International Dyslexia Association. She will conduct dyslexia simulations in an effort to help participants gain a better understanding of how dyslexia can impact a student.
Once again, the meeting will be held Wednesday, January 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Elementary School. It is open to parents, educators and anyone else who would like to learn more about dyslexia. If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Eileen Miller at jerbler@comcast.net or (615) 599-0992.
