Franklin High Unveils Drafting Program

Published April 29, 2009

Franklin High School is pleased to announce the addition of a new program that will be offered to students beginning this fall. Architecture and Construction: Design and Preconstruction will teach students the skills they need to pursue career fields such as architecture, engineering, construction management, contracting and interior design.

Franklin High School students may now sign up for the introductory course in the four course sequence: Computer Aided Design. This course is open to students in grades 9-10, with some limited spots for students in grades 11-12. Students will be exposed to proper hand drafting and computer aided drafting using the AutoDesk software suite which includes both 2-D and 3-D design.

Any student wishing to enroll must see their school counselor to request a schedule change. Where possible, counselors will adjust individual schedules to incorporate the introductory course. For more information on the program, contact Andrew Tomlinson at christopher1@wcs.edu.
