FHS Student to Perform in Tournament of Roses Parade

Franklin High School junior Jason Lesnick will ring in the New Year in southern California. Lesnick, a baritone player in the Franklin High School Marching Band, has been selected by Band of America for the National Honor Band in the 2009 Tournament of Roses Parade. He was chosen among hundreds of applicants across the nation for membership in this prestigious honors ensemble.
Lesnick will spend a week in Pasadena where he will have rehearsals, a special performance at Disneyland and a featured appearance in the world-famous parade. The Tournament of Roses Parade will kick off at 10 a.m. on New Year's Day. Lesnick's band director at Franklin High School is David Aydelott.
