Director of Schools Search-4298

Published April 16, 2009

The first round of interviews for the new Director of Schools will be held April 29 and 30 and possibly May 1 at Centennial High School.  The School Board will meet with representatives from Ray and Associates, the consulting firm hired to conduct the search, on Wednesday, April 22 at 5 p.m.  The consultants will present a list of candidates to the Board, and the Board will narrow the list to between three and five candidates to be interviewed.  The interviews will be held at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on April 29 and 30 and at 6 p.m. on May 1, if needed.

“We are pleased with the number and quality of candidates who have applied for the Williamson County Director of Schools position,” said Steve Triplett, Ray and Associates.  Triplett added that he did not have a final count of applicants because some applications were still being accepted if they were postmarked by the April 8 deadline.

Once the first round of interviews is complete, the Board is expected to name two finalists who will each spend a day in the district on either May 7 or 8 visiting schools, meeting staff and community members and participating in a final interview with the School Board.
