Director of Schools Search

Published January 15, 2009

Williamson County residents will have two ways to provide input on the desired qualities of their new superintendent of schools.  Ray and Associates, the firm the School Board selected to conduct its search, will hold four public input meetings.  In addition, an online survey will be available.  The information will be compiled and shared with the School Board during the search process.

Two public meetings will be held by search consultants on Monday, January 26. Attendees will complete a “qualities desired” survey.  A meeting at Centennial High will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and at Ravenwood from 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  In addition, two public meetings will be held on Tuesday, January 27.  Those meetings will be at Independence High from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and at Fairview High from 7:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.  All will be held in the high school media centers and will last one hour.  Ray and Associates has asked that no School Board members be present at the meetings.

Additionally, there is an opportunity for input from those who cannot attend one of the meetings.  The online survey will be on the district website at www.wcs.edu.  Select “Superintendent Qualities Survey.”   The online survey will be available from January 21 through January 28.
