ACT Exam Changes

Published September 11, 2008

For the first time, Williamson County students will take the ACT college entrance exam on a school day.  The test will be administered on Wednesday, April 22, 2009.  In the past, the exam has typically been given on a Saturday.  Director of Schools Dr. Rebecca Sharber says the change is part of the State's overall plan to get more students to take the college entrance exam.  It is a graduation requirement for Williamson County students to take the ACT.  The district pays for juniors to take the exam on the April test date.  Students in other grades must pay for it themselves.
