Academic Calendars Now Available

Williamson County students and parents can keep track of important school dates and get insight into living healthier lives with Williamson Medical Center’s annual academic calendar.
The 2008-2009 calendar features 13 pieces of art created by Williamson County high school students. Artwork was submitted by students in nine public and private schools as well as students who are home-schooled in Williamson County. Selected artwork will be on display at the Medical Center for one year.
Laura Bustetter, associate administrator for Business Development at WMC, says the calendar lists important dates for all schools in Williamson County and especially is helpful for parents who have children attending different schools. "More importantly, the calendar provides health information for people of all ages and encourages them to take a more active role in their health care," she says.
Williamson County Schools' students whose artwork is featured in the calendar include Shutian Cai, Olivia Howard and Sarah Porter, Brentwood High School; Rachel Levine and Cody Tumblin, Franklin High School; Ashley Blankenship, Independence High School; Lauren Upthegrove, Middle College High School; Casey Sullivan, Page High School; and Paul Lowder, Ravenwood High School.
More than 50,000 calendars are being distributed to schools and the community this month which means each student should get their very own calendar. If your child does not receive a calendar or if you'd like one of your own, you can always contact your child's school.
