RHS Great Day of Service

Published November 8, 2007

Dozens of Ravenwood High School students learned the importance of giving back to their community. On November 3, 130 Ravenwood seniors gave up their Saturday to participate in seven projects throughout the Nashville area. It was part of Ravenwood High School’s Great Day of Service. The event was designed to allow students a chance to go out into the community and work on various projects.

The students gathered November 3 at 8 a.m. to go and complete their work. Some of the students took part in the annual Race for the Cure which benefits breast cancer research. Others donated their time to places like Happy Tails animal shelter and the Feed the Children organization. When they returned to the school, the students shared their experiences with each other. Everyone agreed it was a lot of hard work, but they said it was very rewarding.
