Williamson County Director of Schools Dr. Rebecca Sharber has named Dr. Todd Campbell as principal of Independence High School. Campbell has served as an assistant principal at Franklin High School for seven years. He will replace Dr. Marilyn Webb who is leaving Independence to become the principal at Kenrose Elementary School.
“Todd Campbell will provide a seamless transition for Independence High School,” said Sharber. "He has been an administrator in our
district for several years so he will be able to carry on the traditions of excellence and community established at Independence.”
Campbell holds a Bachelor's Degree from Western Kentucky University, and earned both a Masters and a Doctorate Degree from Trevecca Nazarene University. Campbell began his career in education with the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System. He taught English to students at Rose Park Middle School for five years before accepting the position as assistant principal at Franklin High.
"Dr. Webb has done a great job of planting the seed for Independence High School," said Campbell. "I look forward to being able to ensure that Independence High School continues to grow into one of the premiere schools in Williamson County."
Campbell will begin his new responsibilities July 1.
