Immunizations Mandatory for Students

Tennessee state law requires that all children entering Williamson County Schools must have proof of all immunizations completed.  Any student who does not meet these state requirements will be suspended from school until proof is received.  If your child is entering our Pre K program, there are different requirements.  Please see your school nurse.

Proof of a physical that has been completed within the past year must be received if you are a new student to our district.

Coordinated School Health is a new, exciting model that will be initiated this year in our district.  It consists of eight interactive components. The eight components are Health Education, Physical Education, Health Services, Nutrition Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Healthy School Environment, Health Promotion for Staff, Family/Community Environment.

Williamson County School Health Partnership will continue in the the Fairview and Page school clusters.  The partnership between the Health Department and our school district will continue to benefit our students for the year 2007-2008.  With written permission from parents, school nurses will be able to provide several services that would not be available to students. Services such as a screening physicals, over the counter medications, and many health, nutrition and fitness programs are available.

For more information or for answers to any other school health questions, contact Jorja Trocino, nurse coordinator at 472-4269.
