Franklin High Traffic Plan

Starting Monday, September 10 some traffic flow changes will go into effect outside Franklin High School.  In an effort to alleviate congestion on Hillsboro Road, the Franklin Police Department will be rerouting traffic to the high school via Joel Cheek Boulevard.  In addition, southbound traffic will no longer be allowed to turn left onto Claude Yates Drive, and the light at Joel Cheek Boulevard will be kept green for a longer period of time.

These instructions will apply Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. during school days.  The purpose of the change is to improve the traffic flow in front of Franklin High School and enhance safety in the surrounding neighborhoods.  Franklin Police will monitor the area to make sure the new rules are enforced.  For further information regarding the new traffic plan, contact Franklin Police.
