The Centennial High School Marching Band will travel to the City of Brotherly Love in November. They were selected to participate in the 2008 6abc Boscov's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia, PA. The annual event is billed as the oldest Thanksgiving Day parade in the country, having started in 1920.
The Cougar Marching Band will join other bands from across the nation as they entertain thousands of spectators along the parade route. Centennial Band Assistant Director Mark Garey says, "We are delighted to accept this opportunity and look forward to a year of anticipation, preparation and performance."
