A Hero's Homecoming

September 25, 2007, is a day first grader Caleb Horn will not soon forget. Caleb’s father, Navy Reservist Cliff Horn, accompanied him to class at Longview Elementary School. Horn recently returned home from a tour of duty in Iraq.

Cliff Horn led the Pledge of Allegiance during the morning announcements. He also spoke to fourth and fifth graders at a special assembly. Horn shared with them some photographs from Iraq and answered their questions.

Each grade level in the school participated in decorating the hallway with patriotic displays to honor the returning hero.
