Renovation work is now underway at Page Middle School. The contractor has completed the demolition of the vocational, teen living, and art rooms. The vocational space will be renovated to use as two band rooms. The teen living area will be converted into a much needed space to serve special needs instruction. This space will be substantially larger than the existing space. The existing band room will be renovated and used for the choral/music group and provide an increase in overall space. The contractor is staging the work so one area can be completed and occupied prior to starting another area. Masonry block has been completed in the new band and special needs instruction rooms. Block fill and paint are now in progress. Ceiling grid and floor tile installations will begin by December 11. Efforts are being concentrated on constructing the special needs and band rooms, followed by choral, technology and art rooms. All work is scheduled to be completed by March 1, 2007. Based on current progress, the project may be able to completed sooner.
