Student Art Chosen for Williamson Medical Center's Academic Calendar

Published July 26, 2007

Williamson Medical Center has selected 13 pieces of art created by Williamson County high school students to feature in the 22nd annual academic calendar.

The 2007-2008 calendar, produced and distributed by WMC, includes important school dates. Nearly 47,000 calendars will be distributed to schools and the community in August.

Artwork was submitted by students in 10 public and private schools as well as students who are home-schooled in Williamson County. Selected artwork will be on display at the Medical Center for one year.

“Because Williamson Medical Center is community-focused, working with our county’s schools is a natural partnership,” says Marketing and Public Relations Director Laura Bustetter. “The academic calendar not only showcases student talent, but provides each school’s schedule in addition to valuable health information.”

Williamson County Schools students whose artwork was chosen are: Laura Anne Haywood, Brentwood High School; Casey Lewis, Centennial High School; Mathew Warf, Fairview High School; Shannon Carty, Franklin High School; Antonette Nordlund, Independence High School; Ruth Kurzrock, Page High School; Carrie Crowell and Jocelyn Fawkes, Ravenwood High School.

Williamson Medical Center is a 185-bed, JCAHO-accredited hospital that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care including emergency services, with board-certified physicians in 36 specialties. The community-focused hospital offers a wide range of wellness services, screenings and classes. For more information about Williamson Medical Center, visit www.williamsonmedicalcenter.org.
