New Faces

More than 350 new professional employees will be working with students in Williamson County schools during the 2006-07 school year. Those new to the district are participating in a two day new teacher orientation program this week to ensure a smooth transition into the district. To assist new teachers, mentors are assigned to each one, and professional development opportunities are offered throughout the year. In addition there are several new faces in leadership positions across the county. At Crockett Elementary, Dr. David Hood is the new principal; at Lipscomb Elementary, Michelle Contich is principal; at Winstead Elementary, Anita Anderson is the principal; and at Page Middle School, Josie Jacobs is the principal.

As of press time, the new teachers serving at schools throughout the county are listed below:

On the elementary level, Bethesda welcomes Alfred Amore, Shelly Bosarge, Rachel Heflin, and Shannon Hayes, who will also be at Scales Elementary. At Chapman’s Retreat, new teachers include Shauna Ledbetter, Jessica Bzdek, Patricia Fowler, Rachel Haedge, Tiffany Heep, Amy Johnson, Terry Martin, Jennifer Morris, Lisa Peterson, Kari Redman, Chali Roberts, Brenda Rodriguez, and Rita Black. Three new teachers at College Grove are Sandra Caffee, Rebecca Smith, and Kimberly Young. Crockett Elementary welcomes Thomas Jeter, Barbara Landrum, Michelle Watkins, and Laura LaChance. Edmonson Elementary welcomes Amy Cauthen, Gwynne Coleman, Nicole Owens, Christina Roantree, and Stephanie Smith. New to Fairview Elementary this year are Eileen Brogan, Rebecca Hess, Kristina Scott, and Jessica Sunley.

New faces at Grassland Elementary are Laura Deutsch, Janet Edwards, Brenda Hawkins, and Sharon Russell. Several new staff members are at Heritage Elementary this year. They include Lynda Blanchfield, Ashley Clayon, Mary Dalton, Erin Grugett, April Hardison, Jennifer Helm, Kristen Knight, Jonathan Ogg, Cornelia Westenberger, and Amy Jill Young. Our K-8 school, Hillsboro, welcomes Luci Curry, Phyllis Fish, April Porter, Sue Alice Sauthoff, Stephanie Tyler, and Bonnie Wood.

Hunters Bend Elementary welcomes Elizabeth Clements, Sarah Graves, Jessica Gregory, Scott Hoffman, Sheri Jones, and Sandra King. New to Kenrose Elementary this year are Karen Embry, Kimberle Garrett, Diane Huseman, Debra Neal, Jessica Pyle, and Kim Reff. Lipscomb Elementary welcomes Rebecca Hannon, Beth Kroll, Jill Robinson and Joey Taylor. There are lots of new educators at Oak View Elementary this year. They are Laura Bailey, Sharon Brayer, Sheri Durr, Rachel Furr, Elizabeth Gourieux. Sue Hinesley, Laura LaChance, Lara Purdy, Katy Southern, Kimberly Cather Williams, and Melody Smilor. Pinewood Elementary welcomes Rita Black, Deborah Gleason and Susan Powell to its staff. Scales Elementary welcomes Jennifer Breaux, Sherry Dedmon, Rhonda Keckley, Sarah Lopacinski, Heather McHugh, Katherine McCalla, and Terry Young.

Sunset Elementary welcomes Marc Bakke, Ayn Sams Bivins, Cyntha Dodd, Connie O’Hara, Stacey O’Hara, Julie Schuh, Elizabeth Terrell, Margaret Waldron, and Carrie Kapuga. New faces at Trinity Elementary are Jessica Kimery, Kelly Page, Lauren Siegel, Vicki Stadler, and Delanie Thompson. New to Walnut Grove Elementary this year are Jason Dean, Suzanne Hardy, Meghan Kleczynski, Emily Lawson, Sharon Russel, and Monica Woods. Westwood Elementary welcomes Tammie Latrielle, Carrie Peterson, and Amy Sherwin. And finally, Winstead Elementary welcomes Rita Black, Rebecca Dorsten, Karen Fetner, Sherry Hintz, Patricia Ivey, Angela Jones, Jelisa Payne, Bethany (Hartzog) Popovich, Darlene Sellers, Melody Smilor, Emily Stephenson, and Laura Vandawater.

At the middle school level, Brentwood Middle welcomes Donald Goforth, Tammy Hayes, Tiffany Mazeall, Jennifer Shaw, and Michael Winstead. Fairview Middle welcomes Kimberly Allen, Linda Brinkley, Matthew Conrad, Jason Deats, Leighanna Rickert, and Allison Stewart. New faces at Grassland Middle include Delaina Andrews, Hannah Justice, Mary Keith, Megan Mathison, April Tuason, and Sherry Worsham. Heritage Middle school’s new teachers are Melissa Barlow, Jessica Brown, Courtney Campbell, William Kaufman, Kevin King, Tiffany McCullough, Rachael Milligan, Aileen Murray, Caitlin Parham, and Melanie Robe. Page Middle welcomes Wintress Bennet, Allison Day, Rita Goforth, Alicia Marby, Robin Thornton, Thomas Walling, and Jennifer Zoky.

Sunset Middle welcomes Gisele Anderson-Linder, Donna Cardwell, Aimee Chaffin, Jewell Coleman, Timothy Drinkwine, Christopher Mott, Tiffany Thede, Rhonda Watson, Sandra Williams, and Jennifer Woods. And two new teachers at Woodland Middle this year are Kelly Costello and James Jenkins.

On the high school level, Brentwood High welcomes Clint Finch, Julius Gore, Ashley Powell, Ferdinand Quinones, Helen Rebecca Roa, and Karla Sulcer. Centennial High welcomes Mose Phillips, Robert Rowe, Susanna Singleton, and Paula Watson. New to Fairview High this year are Michael Allen, Ashlee Arnold, Katherine Burgun, Kendra Grassano, Christina Isong, Robert Meacham, Jeffery Myers, Andrea Rice, Mary Taylor, and Ural Walker. Franklin High welcomes Leigh Coffman, Deborah Deaton, Myron Franklin, Manuel Garcia, Jerry Glover Levy, Katherine Parks, Lauri Sims, Marjorie Steele, Allison TenPenny, and Amy Ward. There’s a big list of new people at Independence High this year.
