Heritage Elementary Student Wins Public Television Writing Contest

A young Heritage Elementary School student is on her way to becoming a well-known author! Avery Powell, a kindergartener in Ms. Lindsey Hudson's class, has won first place in the Nashville Public Television Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest. She will appear on NPT in the future reading her book entitled Puppy Puppy Puppy Along the Way. Avery will also be entered in a national contest and will represent the NPT viewing area for Kindergarten. Congratulations to Avery on this award!
