Centennial High School's Marching Band starts off 2007 with some new hardware earned at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Fiesta Bowl National Band Championship in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 29 and 30.
The Centennial High Marching Cougars took fourth place overall, but the awards didn't stop there. Centennial's drum majors took first place in their division, the CHS Guard took fourth place in their division, and CHS Percussion placed fourth as well. The entire band also placed second in the visual performance category. The Marching Cougars also won second place in the division of schools with 2,499 students or less.
The musicians weren't the only ones to win. The Centennial High Pit Crew, consisting of parents who help bring the band's gear onto the field, won the Outstanding Pit Crew Award.
Congratulations to the Centennial High Marching Cougars!
